Meet our Issue One Project Managers, Kate & Kim!
Meet Kate & Kim! Our project managers for Ligature Journal Issue one… They are two super excited and passionate students who will be helping guide issue one to greatness. Not only are they passionate, they are also fun and energetic designers brought together by their love of cats, Harry Potter and organisation. Working closely together, and with the help of their dazzling time management skills, Kate and Kim will be the backbone of Issue One. They will be keeping the team on track, while continuing to inspire, energise and push them to create the best work possible!
Kate is a super surfer, lover of the outdoors, hard worker, hands on designer and water baby. Seriously, she was a semi-professional water polo player and is a professional long-boarder.
Kim is a cat lover, lists maniac, camping pro and awesome designer with a stationery obsession. She literally has a collection of erasers. Together they make a badass duo of unstoppable enthusiasm, excellent design and awesome time management. They are more than excited to see Ligature Journal Issue One come to fruition and cannot wait to hold their baby in their arms.
UPDATE: At the beginning of 2016 we came across the term ‘peak stuff’ in an intriguing context. Steve Howard, the head of sustainability at IKEA, was speaking at a Guardian Live event in London and said ‘If we look at a global basis, in the West we probably hit peak oil. I’d say we’ve hit peak red meat, peak sugar, peak stuff … peak home furnishings.’ That statement created a flurry of interest in news media across the world, and sent our editor off on a research mission to find out what ‘peak stuff’ meant.
Ligature Journal Issue One was released in August 2016. You can get a copy (and other issues as well) at Tiliqua Press.
